Preparations

  1. If the flow cell is to be stored

    Flush the flow cell with isopropanol.

  2. Turn off the pump flow.

Follow these steps

NOTICE

Do not open the tubing connections between the connection unit and the flow cell. The tubing connections are installed at the factory.

  1. Flow cell without connection unit only

    Disconnect the waste line from the outlet of the flow cell, then disconnect the inlet capillary from the inlet of the flow cell (if not yet done).

    – or –

    Flow cell with connection unit only

    Disconnect the waste line from the outlet port (OUT) of the flow cell connection unit, then disconnect the inlet capillary inlet port (IN) of the flow cell connection unit.

  2. Loosen the two screws that hold the cell in position.

  3. Flow cell with connection unit only

    Loosen the screw that holds the connection unit in position and remove the connection unit from the connection unit socket.

  4. Carefully pull out the cell from the opening in the detector.

  5. Install the flow cell plugs on the inlet and outlet ports.

  6. If the flow cell is to be stored

    Store the flow cell in its original packaging that it was shipped in.

  7. Proceed as required:

    • Install a flow cell

      - or -

    • Install the diagnostic cell to the opening of the detector.

NOTICE

The flow cell opening on the device is sensitive to dust and debris.

If no flow cell is installed to the detector, install a diagnostic cell to the flow cell opening of the detector.
