Procedure

1. In the Tune application toolbar, select the down arrow at the right of the Syringe On/Off control. Then, do the following:
1. In the Volume (μL) list, select 500.

2. 

1. In the Flow Rate (μL/min) box, type a value from 2 to 5.

2. 

2. Select Syringe Off to turn on the syringe pump.
3. The button name changes to Syringe On.
3. Select Apply.
4. With the calibration solution flowing through the solvent line, do the following:
1. Verify that the inlet plumbing connections do not leak.
2. If necessary due to air in the sample transfer line, open the syringe pump settings again. Press and hold Prime to prime the syringe at 100 μL/min. Continue to press Prime until the until the signal from the EMRS appears in the spectrum view, which typically takes 3 to 5 seconds.
3. Verify that the system readback is normal .
4. Let the system equilibrate for 15 minutes.
