The Tune application includes favorites settings for calibrating the MS with EMRS.
Procedure
- In the Tune window, place the MS in Standby mode

NOTE
Placing the MS in Standby mode prevents the ion transfer tube from heating to a temperature setting that is too high for the calibration procedure.
- In the data type list, and select the Profile data type.
- Select the Define Scan tab.
- In the Define Scan pane, select the Full Scan mode.
- Under System Settings in the Favorites pane, do one of the following:
- To calibrate the MS in the positive ion mode with the calibration probe, right-click ESI Default for EMRS Calibration with Positive Polarity and select Apply.
- To calibrate the MS in the negative ion mode with the calibration probe, right-click ESI Default for EMRS Calibration with Negative Polarity and select Apply.
- To calibrate the MS in the positive ion mode with the H-ESI probe, right-click H-ESI Default for EMRS Calibration with Positive Polarity and select Apply.
- To calibrate the MS in the negative ion mode with the H-ESI probe, right-click H-ESI Default for EMRS Calibration with Negative Polarity and select Apply.

- In the Tune window, select the Ion Source tab. Then, check the settings in the Ion Source pane.
