IMPORTANT

Always reboot the data system computer when prompted during the installation.

Procedure

  1. Install Xcalibur 4.7 SP1. For instructions, refer to the Xcalibur 4.7 SP1 Release Notes.
  2. (Optional) Install the LC software as applicable to your system

  3. IMPORTANT

    Do not install the Chromeleon CDS and SII for Xcalibur software on the same data system computer.

  4. Install TSQ Series II 4.0:
  5. Launch the TSQ Series II installer (TSQSeriesIIFullSetup-x.x.exe).
  6. Select your instrument model.
  7. Enter your instrument serial number (if the instrument is connected to the computer the serial number is automatically populated).
  8. View the software license agreement and enable the check-box to accept the terms.
  9. Select Install.

  10. NOTE

    The installer will uninstall any earlier version of the software and install the TSQ Series II 4.0 software, if applicable. User documentation is included as part of the installation.

  11. After the installation is completed, select Documents on the upper right-hand of the window to view the available manuals, release notes, and installation instructions.
  12. Select Close to exit the TSQ Series II installer.
  13. Launch the Thermo Foundation Instrument Configuration, then add and configure the system devices.
  14. Launch the Tune application and select System Check from the Calibration page.
  15. Select Start.
  16. The system checks all of the essential MS calibration parameters and re-calibrates any failed parameter.

  17. NOTE

    Contact Thermo Fisher Scientific Technical Support if your system does not pass all calibrations.
