The MS is equipped with the Auto-Ready ion source that is used exclusively to calibrate the instrument and keep it running at peak performance.
The Auto-Ready ion source includes the following components:
- A storage area for the calibration solution vial
- A calibrant pump to deliver the calibration solution
- An electro-spray ion source to generate calibrant ions
- A secondary vacuum interface to introduce calibrant ions into the ion optics pathway
This integrated system streamlines and simplifies the calibration process by allowing you to keep your normal source and chromatography system setup and by providing an operator-free scheduling workflow using the Self-Check feature.
