Check the following items before you calibrate the instrument using the Auto-Ready hardware.

  • The API source is properly installed.
  • The Auto-Ready enclosure door is closed.

Perform the following, as applicable:

  • Run the New Vial Installed diagnostic if a new Auto-Ready (FlexMix) vial is installed. This diagnostic checks for any common problems from leaks, clogs, and so on.
  • From the Diagnostics pane, navigate to Hardware → Auto-Ready → Fluidics.
  • Run the Check Spray Stability and Check Calibrant Solution diagnostics after the spray has been established.
  • From the Diagnostics pane, navigate to Hardware → Auto-Ready.

NOTE

You can run the Start Spray diagnostics to manually start the Auto-Ready spray (independent of running calibrations) if there are issues with the spray. Once the diagnostic starts, the Auto-Ready hardware automatically attempts to establish a stable flow to the sprayer and applies a high voltage to the sprayer to generate calibrant ions.

From the Diagnostics pane, navigate to Hardware → Auto-Ready.

TIP

You can stop the Auto-Ready spray at any time by running the Stop Spray diagnostic.

The following figure shows the Diagnostics pane with the Auto-Ready diagnostics options.
