Prerequisites

1. The data system computer is turned on.
2. The MS is connected to the data system computer.
3. The MS is in the Standby mode or Off mode.

Procedure

1. Open the Xcalibur data system.
2. In the Status pane, right-click on the MS instrument and select Turn Device On.
3. The System LED on the front panel of the MS turns green.
