Once a week on the specified day and time (default: Sunday; 11pm), the data purging process initiates. This process only occurs if the instrument is in an idle state. In addition to these settings, automatic purging managed by the TNG database service can occur nightly at 11pm if the instrument is in an idle state.

Procedure

  1. From the Windows taskbar, select Start → Thermo Scientific Foundation → Instrument Configuration.
  2. Select the MS instrument icon from the Configure Devices list and then select Configure.
  3. The Instrument Configuration dialog box appears.
  4. Navigate to the Historical Data Retention area and select your preferred day and time using the Day drop-down list and the Time drop-down list.
  5. Select OK to exit the Instrument Configuration dialog box.
  6. Select Done to exit the Thermo Foundation Instrument Configuration.
