When you open the Method Editor, the Global Parameters page appears by default. On this page, you can configure the settings for the ion source, syringe pump, divert valves, and any connected devices controlled by a contact closure signal. The Method Editor uses these settings for all scans.
Use the Method Timeline area to create a timeline for your experiment. Each timeline is a graphical representation of the experiment’s specified time.

The Method Timeline and Settings area are displayed at the top of the Global Parameters and Scan Parameters page.
