Prepare the API spray insert, which is installed into the heater assembly through the top of the API source. The OptaMax Plus ion source supports the following spray inserts:

• H-ESI spray insert: Typically used for high-flow applications with greater than 10 μL/min. This item is included with the instrument shipment and is installed in the OptaMax Plus ion source by default.
• ESI spray insert: Typically used for low-flow applications with less than 10 μL/min. This item is included with the instrument shipment.
• APCI spray insert: For APCI experiments, order the optional APCI installation kit, which includes an APCI spray insert and a corona needle.
