The power module, which is located on the right side of the MS and the power mode options (On/Standby/Off) that are available from the Tune application and data system control the on/off status of various MS components.
The following figure shows the power module which contains the Electronics switch and Main Power switch.
- Electronics switch in the Service Mode position: This turns off all components in the MS, except the +24 V power supply, forepump, turbomolecular pump, and cooling fans.
- Main Power switch in the Off position: This removes all power to the MS, including the vacuum system.
