The Tune application is part of the instrument control software, which lets you control the MS through the data system computer. It's functionality includes the ability to display acquired mass spectra, instrument parameter settings, and instrument status indicators. You can use various tools to tune and calibrate the instrument for maximum performance; these include tools that let you select scan type, scan mode, ion polarity, scan rate, and resolution. It also provides a host of diagnostic functions for easy troubleshooting. You can also use features to manage USB-connected devices such as the syringe pump and the optional divert/inject valve. Also, this application supports report generation so that you can document the outcome of various diagnostics, calibrations, and optimizations.
