Description

Main Power

  • In the Off position, the Main Power (circuit breaker) switch removes all power to the MS. This turns off the forepump that is connected to the MS through contact closure, but it does not turn off line power to the forepump, as it connects directly to the laboratory line power.
  • In the On position, the MS has power. In the standard operational mode, the switch stays in the On position.

Electronics switch

  • In the Operating Mode (up) position, all components of the MS have power.
  • In the Service Mode (down) position, the switch removes power to all components of the MS except for the fans and vacuum system. This setting allows you to service non-vacuum system components with the vacuum system still operating.

V65 Pump Enable

The Pump Enable connector provides a connection to the forepump. The MS can start and stop the forepump by using a relay control cable that connects to the forepump’s contact closure connector.
