The Tune Help, Method Editor Help, and manuals are not installed automatically as part of the instrument control software. You must run a separate installer to load the files on the instrument computer.

Prerequisites

  1. Install the Stellar 1.0 QF1 software.

Procedure

  1. Open the Stellar 1.0 QF1 electronic media from the applicable location on your instrument computer.
  2. Navigate to the Documents folder and launch the installer (StellarHelpManualsSetup.exe).

  4. Select Install to start the installation process.
  5. After the installation is completed, select Close.
  6. Verify that the manuals are installed by navigating to the following path from the Windows taskbar:
  7. Start > Thermo Instruments > Stellar 1.0 QF1 Manuals
  8. NOTE

    You can also browse to the manuals using the following path:
    C:\Program Files\Thermo Scientific\Instruments\TNG\Stellar\1.0 QF1\System\Manuals

  9. To view the Help system, do the following as applicable:
  10. – Tune Help: From the Tune application, select Options and then select Tune Help.
  11. – Method Editor Help: From the Xcalibur data system (Roadmap view), double-click Instrument Setup and navigate to the top menu bar and then select Help > Stellar Help.
  12. IMPORTANT

    When you open the Help for the first time, select an appropriate application (a web browser) for the .html file type and then select OK.

  13. NOTE

    To open context-sensitive help from either Help system, press the F1 key from within a specific view, page, or dialog box.
