The Proteome Discoverer 3.3 application will primarily be distributed electronically. To install, Thermo Fisher Scientific recommends downloading the full Proteome Discoverer 3.3 medium from the Thermo Fisher Download Portal (thermofisher.com/download). Here you can find the installers for Proteome Discoverer 3.3 and previous versions of the software.
NOTE
The Life Sciences Mass Spectrometry Software Download and Licensing Portal (Flexnet Operations portal or Flexera) is changing to a new Thermo Fisher Download Portal that will require each customer to have an account. If you have an existing Thermo Fisher portal account, you do not need to create a new one. If you navigate to the original Flexnet Operations portal, you will automatically be redirected to the new URL for the Thermo Fisher Download Portal.
To run the installer, you must have administrator rights.
Procedure
- Open the Thermo Fisher Download Portal at: thermofisher.com/download.
- Login to the software download site. If you do not yet have an account, enter the necessary information to register.
- Select Application > Proteome Discoverer on the home page or select Product Search.
- (Optional) If performing a search, enter Proteome Discoverer 3.3 into the search field.
- Select Proteome Discoverer 3.3.
- Download and install the Thermo Proteome Discoverer Setup 3.3.exe application.
NOTE
To install third-party nodes, such as MS Amanda, MS Ana, or ProSightPD, download and run the Thermo Proteome Discoverer ThirdParty Setup 3.3.exe application.
If you purchased the physical media, after inserting the Thermo Scientific Software USB, navigate to the Proteome Discoverer folder and select the 3.3 folder. Run the XStart_ProteomeDiscoverer.exe application manually. The XStart installer dialog box includes options to install Proteome Discoverer, Discoverer Daemon, third-party installers, and prerequisites, such as the Microsoft .NET Standard. It also includes access to user guides and example data.
Proteome Discoverer 3.3 is initially installed with a 60-day demo license. You must permanently license Proteome Discoverer before the demo period expires. The license initialization code (LIC) will be sent to the email address noted on your order from ThermoMSLicensing@thermofisher.com. Additionally, your LIC is provided to your sales representative and attached to your sales order number. If you did not receive your LIC, please reach out to your sales representative with your sales order number and ask for the LIC.
