NOTE

Make sure that Xcalibur 4.7 is connected to the Ardia Platform before starting the setup.

Prerequisites

  1. You must register Proteome Discoverer prior to registering for automated processing. See Register on the Ardia Server.
  2. Xcalibur 4.7 must be connected to the Ardia Platform before starting.

Procedure

  1. Open the Xcalibur data system.
  2. Select Ardia Platform in the Roadmap View.
  3. Select Open in the Xcalibur Registration card.
  4. The Ardia Platform Registration dialog box opens.
  5. Enter the Platform URL and Registration Code. To find the URL and code, do the following:
  6. Open a browser and navigate to the Ardia Platform Home page on the Ardia Advanced Tower Server.
  7. Select the Client Registration and Management card.
  8. The Actions view opens.
  9. Select + Add Registration Code in the upper right corner of the Actions view.
  10. The You have added the registration code successfully dialog box opens.
  11. Select Copy to copy the Platform URL.
  12. Return to the Xcalibur data system and paste the URL in the Platform URL box.
  13. Return to the Ardia Platform browser and select Copy to copy the Registration Code.
  14. Return to the Xcalibur data system and paste the code in the Registration Code box.
  15. Select Continue.
  16. The registration is successful.
  17. Select Close.
  18. Sign in to the Ardia Platform.
  19. Select My Account in the upper right corner and select Sign In.
  20. In the Xcalibur data system, select Sequence Setup View in the View toolbar.
  21. Two new options are now available in the Data Repository area.
  22. In the Data Repository area, select the Ardia Platform option.
  23. In the Data Repository area, select the Ardia Platform processing with Proteome Discoverer software option.
  24. The following three new columns appear: Processing Method, Quantification Method, and Results Path.
  25. From the Processing Method dropdown list and select the processing method.
  26. The list contains all of the analysis templates that you saved for automated processing. If the computer is on a shared server, you will also see templates created on other computers.
  27. From the Quantification Method dropdown list, select the quantification method.
  28. Double-click the Path column.
  29. The Sequence Selector dialog box opens.
  30. Select a folder or create a new folder where your raw data will be stored.
  31. To create a new folder, select New folder.
  32. A new row appears.
  33. Enter a name for the folder and double-click the row.
  34. The folder opens.
  35. Enter a sequence name in the Sequence Name box.
