IMPORTANT
Do not install Proteome Discoverer on the acquisition PC. Doing so might cause acquisition and data analysis to fail.
NOTE
The Ardia automated processing can only be enabled on one Proteome Discoverer processing computer at a time.
NOTE
Templates for Ardia Processing can only be used if your application is registered for automated processing.
Prerequisites
- You have activated your Ardia license for Proteome Discoverer. See Licensing the Ardia features in the Proteome Discoverer software.
- You have registered your Proteome Discoverer installation to Ardia. See Register on the Ardia Server.
Procedure
- From the application menu bar, select Ardia Server > Automated Processing.
- Select the Enable automated processing on the PC checkbox.
- This checkbox must be selected if you want to use automated processing. Multiple computers can be connected to the server, but only one computer can be used for automated processing at a time.
- If there is another computer selected for automated processing, the Enable Automated Processing dialog box opens. You must confirm that you want to disconnect the other computer.
- Select Yes.
- A second confirmation dialog box opens. You must again confirm to override the active automated processing computer.
- Select Yes.
- To manage job requests, complete the following:
- Under Filter in the Manage Job Requests area, specify the time range of the job.
- Select the Status dropdown list to specify the job status.
- Select Refresh.
- In the Results area, the Job requests affected is updated based on the filters selected.
- To pause processing, select Pause Processing in the Processing Controls area.
- While in pause mode you can abort or restart jobs.
- A Pause Automated Processing dialog box opens to confirm that you want to pause the automated processing.
NOTE
You can only abort or restart job requests if your PC is registered for automated processing and automated processing is paused.
- Select Yes.
- The automated processing is paused.
- In the Proteome Discoverer application status bar, the status changes to "Automated Processing: Paused" in red.
- To abort job requests, under Results in the Manage Job Requests area, select Abort Job Requests.
- The Abort Job Requests dialog box opens to confirm that you want to abort the job requests.
- Select Yes.
- The jobs are aborted. Under the Last 24 hours column, the Aborted row is updated.
- To resume the processing, complete the following:
- In the Processing Controls area, select Resume Processing.
- The Resume Automated Processing dialog box opens.
- Select Yes.
- In the Proteome Discoverer application status bar, the status changes to "Automated Processing: Active" in green.
- Select Apply.
