You can determine whether all commands or only the most recently used commands appear first when you select a menu.

Display all the commands in a menu

Procedure

  1. Right-click the empty space in the toolbar and choose Customize.
  2. In the Customize dialog box, select the Options tab.
  3. Select the Always Show Full Menus checkbox.
  4. Select Close.

Display the most recently used commands in a menu

Procedure

  1. Right-click the empty space in the toolbar and choose Customize.
  2. In the Customize dialog box, select the Options tab.
  3. Clear the Always Show Full Menus checkbox if it is selected.
  4. Select the Show Full Menus After a Short Delay checkbox.
  5. Select Close.

Restore the default set of visible commands to the menus and toolbars

Procedure

  1. Right-click the empty space in the toolbar and choose Customize.
  2. In the Customize dialog box, select the Options tab.
  3. Select Reset My Usage Data.
