The following table describes the commands in the shortcut menu of the Volcano Plots view.

Command or Option

Description

Show Position Tooltips

Displays the following information:

  • number, number: Log2 ratio
  • Pnumber: P value
  • MW number [kDa]: Molecular weight of the protein, in kilodaltons
  • calc. PI=number: Isoelectric point of the protein
  • #Peptides=number: Number of unique peptides
  • #PSMs=number: Number of peptide spectrum matches
  • #AAs=number: Number of amino acids in the protein

Zoom Out

Reduces the view.

Undo All Zoom/Pan

Returns the volcano plot to the default view.

Copy

Copies the data in the plot view.

Image

Copies the data in the plot view as an image.

Points

Copies the data in the plot view as text.

Point Details

Copies all items on the selected page (Proteins or Peptide Groups) into a CSV-format text file.

Export

Exports the data in the plot view to a file.

Image As

Exports the data in the plot view as an image in an Enhanced Metafile (EMF) file.

Points As

Exports the data in the plot view as text in a TXT file.

Point Details As

Exports all items on the selected page (Proteins or Peptide Groups) into a CSV-format text file.

Show Legend

Displays the meaning of the colors of groups of proteins or peptide groups.

Check Point

Selects a data point in the plot view, colors the point blue, and selects the checkbox of the corresponding protein or peptide group in the Checked column of the result report.

Uncheck Point

Clears a data point in the plot view and returns the point to its original color in the plot. In the Checked column of the result report, the application clears the checkbox of the corresponding protein or peptide group.

Check All Visible Points

Selects all data points in the plot view, colors the points blue, and selects the checkboxes of the corresponding proteins or peptide groups in the Checked column of the result report.

Uncheck All Visible Points

Clears all data points in the plot view, returns the points to their original colors, and re-displays the legend. In the Checked column of the result report, the application clears the checkboxes of the corresponding proteins or peptide groups.
