The following table lists the parameters in the Venn Diagrams view.

Options pane

Loads the Option pane settings that you saved with the Save command.

Saves the settings that you selected in the Options pane.

 

Resets the option settings in the Options pane to their defaults when you installed the application.

Chart Options

 

Proportional Size

Determines whether the area of the data set circles and overlaps are proportional to the number of items in the data set or are of a fixed size.

  • (Default) True: Draws the data set circles and overlaps as proportional to the number of items in the data set.
  • False: Draws the data set circles and overlaps as fixed sizes.

Segment Color Options

Border Width

Determines the width of the border around the data set circles. The larger the number, the wider the line.

Default: 1

Border Color

Specifies the color of the border around the data set circles.

Default: Black

Shadow Depth

Specifies the width of the shadow behind the data set circles.

Default: 0

Color A

Specifies the color for displaying the data in the 1. Group data set.

Default: Khaki

Color B

Specifies the color for displaying the data in the 2. Group data set.

Default: LightSalmon

Color C

Specifies the color for displaying the data in the 3. Group data set.

Default: PowderBlue

Color AB

Specifies the color for displaying the overlap of the 1. Group data set and the 2. Group data set.

Default: IndianRed

Color BC

Specifies the color for displaying the overlap of the 2. Group data set and 3. Group data set.

Default: Thistle

Color AC

Specifies the color for displaying the overlap of the 1. Group data set and 3. Group data set.

Default: YellowGreen

Color ABC

Specifies the color for displaying the overlap of the 1. Group data set, 2. Group data set, and 3. Group data set.

Default: SlateGray

Segment Label Options

Hide Labels

Determines whether the data set labels are visible.

  • True: Displays the labels.
  • (Default) False: Hides the labels from view.

Label Color

Specifies the color of the data set labels.

Default: Black

Label Font

Specifies the font of the data set labels. When you select the Browse button, the Font dialog box opens so that you can specify the font type, style, size, effects, and script for labels on the chart.

Default: 10-point Arial

To display aspects of the label font that you can change, select the arrow to the left of Label Font option.

  • Name: Specifies the label font; default: Arial
  • Size: Specifies the size of the label font; default: 10
  • Unit: Specifies the unit for measuring the size of the label font; default: Point
  • Bold: Specifies the weight of the label font.
    - True: Displays labels in bold font.
    - (Default) False: Displays labels in normal font.
  • GdiCharSet: Specifies a byte value that indicates the GDI character set to use with the selected font; default: 1
  • GdiVerticalFont: Gets a Boolean value that indicates whether the selected font is derived from a GDI vertical font.
    - True: The selected font is derived from a GDI vertical font.
    - (Default) False: The selected font is not derived from a GDI vertical font.
  • Italic: Specifies whether to italicize the selected font.
    - True: Italicizes the selected font.
    - (Default) False: Does not italicize the selected font.

 

  • Strikeout: Specifies whether to display the selected font shown with strikeout lines through it.
    - True: Displays the selected font with strikeout lines through it.
    - (Default) False: Does not display the selected font with strikeout lines through it.
  • Underline: Specifies whether to underline the selected font.
    - True: Underlines the selected font.
    - (Default) False: Does not underline the selected font.

Legend Options

Show Legend

Determines whether to display the data set legends.

  • (Default) True: Displays the data set legends.
  • False: Does not display the data set legends.

Summation Row

Determines whether to sum all the items displayed in the Venn diagram.

  • (Default) True: sums all the items in the Venn diagram.
  • False: Does not sum all the items displayed in the Venn diagram.

Legend Font

Specifies the font type and size of the legend text. When you select the Browse button, the Font dialog box opens so that you can specify the font type, style, size, effects, and script for labels on the chart.

Default: 9-point Arial

To display aspects of the legend font that you can change, select the arrow to the left of Legend Font option.

  • Size: Specifies the size of the legend font; default: 9

Data Source

Displays the result category to plot the data from. The categories are as follows: Protein Groups, Proteins, Peptide Groups, PSMs, or MS/MS Spectrum Info.
