You can filter your search for specific amino acids in a specific position. The following procedure is an example.
Procedure
- Open a result file, and then select the tab of the page that you want to view.
- Select View > Display Filter, or select the Display Filter
.
- The Display Filter pane opens at the top of the results file .
- Select Add property.
- A dropdown with a list of properties opens.
- Select Sequence property from the dropdown menu.
- In the pink box, set the condition to “Matches Pattern” or “Contains Pattern.”
- The “Matches Pattern” operator searches for a pattern starting at the beginning of a text field, whereas the “Contains Pattern” operator searches anywhere in the text field for a pattern.
- In the white box, enter the value that includes wild card characters (* and ?) for the filter.
- The ‘*’ means an arbitrary number of any character. The ‘?’ means an arbitrary character.
- Select Apply.
