Procedure

1. Do one of the following:
1. Select Administration > Maintain Chemical Modifications.
2. Select Maintain Chemical Modifications .
3. The Chemical Modifications view opens.
2. In the Modification column, select the row that you want to update, and select Edit.
3. Enter your changes for the delta masses, the substitution, the leaving group, the position, the abbreviation, neutral losses, or diagnostic ions for the modification.
4. For custom chemical modifications, you can edit any column except the Unimod Accession No. column, which identifies these modifications by the number zero. For chemical modifications that you import from UNIMOD, you can edit only the Modification and Abbreviation columns. UNIMOD chemical modifications are identified by a number greater than zero in the Unimod Accession No. column.
5. Columns that you can edit activate an edit button when you select them. Columns that you cannot edit display a gray background.
4. To accept the changes, select OK.
