After you activate your CHIMERYS account, you must test the communication with the server. To test the CHIMERYS on Ardia Server, see Configure CHIMERYS on Ardia Server.

Prerequisites

  1. You have activated your CHIMERYS account. See Configure the CHIMERYS search engine.

Procedure

  1. From the application menu bar, select Tools > CHIMERYS Communication Tester.
  2. The CHIMERYS Communication Tester and Job Monitoring Tool opens.
  3. From the CHIMERYS Node dropdown list, select CHIMERYS.
  4. Select Test.
  5. The following message appears at the bottom of the window: The CHIMERYS communication test succeeded. You can now use the CHIMERYS node in the Proteome Discoverer application.

  7. NOTE

    The CHIMERYS server logs you out after 60 days. You must enter your username and password to log in again. To find your login status, open the CHIMERYS Communication Tester and Job Monitoring Tool and select Test.

  9. Select Close.
