Before using the CHIMERYS search engine, you must activate your CHIMERYS account. After you purchase Proteome Discoverer with CHIMERYS, an email is sent to you with your username and temporary password. The email is from Chimerys Platform <onboarding@proteome-search.com> with the following subject line: Chimerys On-boarding Email.
NOTE
The password in the on-boarding email is temporary. During activation, you can change your password.
Procedure
- From the application menu bar, select Administration > Configuration.
- Under Processing Settings, select CHIMERYS.
- The CHIMERYS Service Login page opens.
- Under Account Information, to the right of the CHIMERYS Login box, select the (...) button.
- The CHIMERYS Service Login dialog box opens.
NOTE
In the dialog box, the Status area says "logged out/session expired".
- In the CHIMERYS Service Login dialog box, select Login.
- A CHIMERYS Service Login sign in page opens.
- Enter your username and temporary password from the on-boarding email.
NOTE
Your temporary password expires after 90 days.
If you cannot find the on-boarding email or if you have questions, contact ThermoMSLicensing@thermofisher.com.
- Select Sign in.
- After the initial sign in, you will be prompted to change your password. The Forgot your password dialog box opens.
- Enter your new password and then select Send.
- After you select send, the web page instructs you to return to the application.
- The CHIMERYS Service Login Status now says "logged in" and the User now displays your username.
- Select Close.
- (Optional) Log out by selecting Logout.
- Check the status indicator on the CHIMERYS login page.
- If the login is successful, then the box is green.
- Select Apply.
NOTE
You must select Apply to complete the activation of the CHIMERYS search engine. If you do not select Apply, the workflows will not be connected.
- An Administration dialog box opens.
- Select OK.
