The spectral libraries can be quite large. It might not be possible to store the spectral libraries on the same drive as the Proteome Discoverer software.

NOTE

If you might need to change the storage location for spectral libraries, change it before importing or predicting new libraries. Changing the location afterwards deletes all existing libraries.

Procedure

  1. From the application menu bar, select Administration > Configuration.
  2. Under Server Settings, select Spectrum Library Files.
  4. Select the browse button (...) next to the New Directory box.
  5. The Browse for Folder dialog box opens.
  6. Select the new location for the spectrum library.
  7. Select OK.
  8. Select Apply.
  9. Restart the application.
