Procedure

1. Select the Samples tab.
2. Select the Contains filter in the appropriate column of the Samples page, and select the type of filter from the list.
3. In the box next to the icon, enter the text for the filter.
4. For example, the following figure shows the results of changing the sample identifier to 126.
4. Hold down the SHIFT key or CTRL key to highlight the rows to be modified.
5. Right-click the highlighted cells, and select the study factor to apply.
6. (Optional) To return the samples to their unfiltered state, select Clear All Filters .
