You can export spectra even though they do not identify any PSMs.

Procedure

  1. Open your result file. See Organizing results.
  2. On the MS/MS Spectrum Info page, sort the list by selecting the # PSMs column header.
  3. Select a checkbox in each row with a reported number of zero peptide matches.
  4. The result resembles the example in the following figure.

  6. Select File > Export > Spectra.
  7. The Export Spectra dialog box opens.

  9. In the Destination box, enter the path and name of the file where you want to save the exported spectra; or locate and select the file, and then select Save in the Save As dialog box.
  10. Select the export format from the File Type list.
  11. In the Items To Be Exported area, select the From MS/MS Spectrum Info option and the Checked Items Only checkbox.
  12. In the Export Spectra dialog box, select Export.
  13. When you receive a message that the export job is finished, select Yes.
