You can create a workflow that handles chimeric, or mixed spectra, by including the Precursor Detector node for datasets not currently supported by CHIMERYS. The node supports identifying additional precursors within the isolation window of the precursor spectrum in the results.
Use in workflows that process data detected by Orbitrap MS/MS detected data. For search nodes, use the Sequest HT node or the MSPepSearch node
For an example results page that shows chimeric peaks, see The MS/MS Spectrum Info page.
Special Processing Workflow Nodes and Node Settings
If you add the Precursor Detector node to a workflow, place the node before the search engine node (that is, the Sequest HT node or the MSPepSearch node). These workflows include the Precursor Detector node:
PWF_Hybrid_Precursor_Quan_and_LFQ_MPS_SequestHT_Percolator.pdProcessingWF
PWF_Hybrid_MPS_SequestHT_INFERYS_Rescoring_Percolator.pdProcessingWF
PWF_Hybrid_MPS_SequestHT_INFERYS_Rescoring_Percolator_2stage.pdProcessingWF
For more information, see the Precursor Detector node in the Proteome Discoverer Help.
