You can visually verify matches between measured spectra from your experiment and predicted spectra from up to 5 selected PSMs from the same original spectrum for peptides fragmented using a supported fragmentation method and target sequences with supported PTMs.

Procedure

  1. Ensure that you complete the steps in the Use the Mirror Plot to view the INFERYS Predicted spectrum for multiple target peptide sequences from the same source spectrum topic before completing this workflow.
  2. Close the dialog box and when prompted to save the settings, select Yes.
  3. Select the MS/MS Spectrum Info tab in the results and select any MS/MS Spectrum with one more PSMs.
  4. Select Show Associated Tables and choose the PSMs tab.
  5. Hold down either the CTRL key or the SHIFT key and select up to 5 rows in the PSMs table.

  6. NOTE

    Steps 1 and 2 only need to be performed the first time you would like to see the predicted spectrum in the mirror plot. Afterwards, only steps 3–5 need to be performed.
