In workflows that do not include quantification nodes, you can use the Data Distributions node in the consensus workflow to display the following columns in result reports as data distribution maps:

  • Found in Samples
  • Found in Samples Groups
  • Found in Files
  • Found in Fractions

NOTE

In workflows that include quantification nodes, you can use the Precursor Ions Quantifier node or the Reporter Ions Quantifier node in the consensus workflow to display ratio, standard error, ungrouped ratios variability, and count columns in result reports as data distribution maps. For more on data distribution maps in quantification, see Displaying data distribution maps for quantification.

For information about the Data Distributions node, see Data Distributions node in the Proteome Discoverer Help.

Distribution maps in the Found in Files, Found in Samples, and Found in Sample Groups columns

These maps show the distribution of values across the available files, samples, sample groups, and fractions. They can help you visually validate the results of the processing.

When used in a consensus workflow, the Protein Annotation node also displays data as distribution maps in the Biological Processes, Cellular Component, and Molecular Function columns.
