Annotation Aspects are the rules that assign a color marker to a group of annotation terms.

The Protein Annotation node adds three Annotation Aspects to your result, by default. These columns are for the Gene Ontology (GO) Slim categories of Biological Process, Cellular Component, and Molecular Function.

You can define additional custom Annotation Aspects composed of terms from GO, Protein families (Pfam), WikiPathways, or Reactome Pathways databases.

NOTE

If you have not recently defined an annotation aspect before, select UpdateDB in the Annotation Aspects view before making any changes.
