The following table describes the parameters in the FASTA Indexes Options dialog box.

FASTA Indexes Options dialog box parameters
Parameters	Description
FASTA Index Directory	Displays the path and name of the current directory where the FASTA indexes are stored. This parameter is read-only. Default: C:\ProgramData\Thermo\Proteome Discoverer 3.1\FastaDatabases
New Directory	Opens the Browse for Folder dialog box so that you can specify the new path and name of the directory to store the FASTA indexes in.
Maximum Number of FASTA Indexes	Specifies the current maximum number of FASTA indexes allowed. This parameter is read-only.
New Maximum Number of FASTA Indexes	Specifies the new maximum number of FASTA indexes allowed. Default: 30
Reset	Resets the changes that you made in the FASTA Indexes Options dialog box to their values the last time the server started and prevents the server from implementing the changes when it starts next.
