The following table describes the parameters in the FASTA Indexes view Field Chooser dialog box.
Parameters | Description |
---|---|
Enzyme | Specifies the name of the enzyme used to cleave the protein. |
Index Size [kB] | Displays the size of the FASTA database index, in kilobytes. |
Last Access Time | Displays the last time that the FASTA index was used. For example, it displays the last time that a Sequest HT search used the FASTA index. |
Max. # Missed Cleavages | Specifies the maximum number of internal cleavage sites per peptide fragment that is acceptable for the enzyme to miss when cleaving peptides during digestion. Range: 0–12; default: 2 |
Max. Mass [Da] | Specifies the maximum mass of the precursor ion to be processed, in daltons. Range: 0.0–10,000.0 Da; default: 5,000 Da |
Min. Mass [Da] | Specifies the minimum mass of the precursor ion to be processed, in daltons. Range: 0.0–10,000.0 Da; default: 350 Da |
Static Modifications | Displays the static modifications set when the FASTA database was generated. |
Use Average Precursor Masses | Determines whether the average mass is used to match the precursor ion. The options for this parameter are as follows:
