You can specify a new directory for storing the FASTA indexes and change the maximum number of FASTA indexes that the application can store. The application counts all FASTA indexes, even the indexes that cannot be automatically removed with the Auto Remove option.

You can change the directory only if the server runs on the local machine.

NOTE

After you confirm the changes, the application saves them, but the changes are only executed the next time that the server starts.

Procedure

  1. Select Options.
  2. The FASTA Indexes Options dialog box opens.

  3. NOTE

    Another way to access these options is to select Administration > Configuration, and then select FASTA Indexes in the Server Settings area.

  4. In the FASTA Indexes Options dialog box, locate the directory where you want to store the FASTA indexes.
  5. Enter the new maximum number of FASTA indexes allowed.
  6. Select OK.
  7. In the FASTA index settings confirmation box, select OK.
