Procedure

1. In Windows Explorer, open the Proteome Discoverer application folder structure, and open the Fasta Files folder.

2. TIP

   If you do not have the Proteome Discoverer application media, you can download it in a zip file from the Thermo Scientific Software Download and Licensing Portal https://thermo.flexnetoperations.com.

2. Copy the file Saccharomyces cerevisiae (sp_incl_isoforms TaxID=4932_and_subtaxonomies).fasta to a local directory.
3. On the Proteome Discoverer application Start Page, select Administration > Maintain FASTA files.
4. Select Add.
5. Go to the local directory, and select Saccharomyces cerevisiae (SwissProt TaxID=4932_and_subtaxonomies).fasta.
6. The application indexes the file and adds it to the list of available databases.
6. Continue with Configure the quantification method.
