Procedure

1. Go to https://www.uniprot.org/.
2. Select Proteomes.
3. In the search field, enter Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and select Search.
4. Select UP000002311.
5. On the left side of the page, select Reviewed.
6. Select Download.
7. In the dialog box, do the following:
1. Keep the Download All option.
2. For Format, select Format FASTA (canonical & isoform).
3. Select the Uncompressed option, and select Go.
8. Save the file.
9. After the file download is complete, on the Windows desktop, double-click the Proteome Discoverer application.
10. On the Start Page, select Administration > Maintain FASTA files.
11. In the FASTA Files view, select Add.
12. Select the file that you downloaded from UniProt.
13. The application indexes the file and adds it to the list of available databases.
13. Continue with Configure the quantification method.
