Smooth data

In the case of jagged data sets, both Gaussian Smoothing or Savitzky-Golay Smoothing can be performed on the data set.

Procedure

  1. Select the Options tab of the m/z spectrum.
  2. Manipulate the sliders and settings as desired. For example, looking at the 26+ Charge State, you can take the G1F (x2) peak and attempt to smooth out the shoulder (pink dot).
  3. Enable either the Use Savitzky Smoothed Spectrum toggle or the Use Gaussian Smoothed Spectrum toggle to smooth the deconvoluted mass plot.
  4. Select Deconvolute again, because the data set was manipulated.
