You can export all or selected results from the Results table to an Excel workbook (.xlsx), text file (.csv), or Mascot generic format (.mgf) file. You can also save selected data as a BioPharma Finder (.bpf) file for use in the Chromeleon chromatography data system.
Export results from the Consolidated Results or Charge State Results tables
Prerequisites
- You have loaded the experiment results are viewing the Process and Review page.
Procedure
- On the Process and Review page, right-click anywhere in the Results table and choose one of the following menu commands:
- Export All Components to export data at all levels for all components in the table.
- Export Checked Components to export data at all levels for only the selected components in the table.
TIP
To select an entire row of results to export, select the checkbox in that row.
To select all of the rows, select the checkbox in the column header.
- Create .mgf File to store the mass and charge state information in an .mgf file that the Mascot search engine can read.
- For the Export All Components and the Export Checked Components commands, choose one of the following submenu commands:
- As Displayed to export to an Excel (.xlsx) file exactly as currently displayed in the table.
- Excel Workbook to export to an Excel (.xlsx) file in the default format.
- CSV to export data to a text (.csv) file.
- Chromeleon to export to a BioPharma Finder (.bpf) file in a format that is compatible with the Chromeleon chromatography data system.
NOTE
For the Chromeleon export option, the BioPharma Finder application does not export components that do not have a sequence identification.
- See Results table commands.
- If you select the Chromeleon export option, the Isotope Count dialog box opens. Enter the number of isotopes to export.
- In the Save As dialog box, browse to the file location where you want to store the exported results.
- By default, the file name is the same as the experiment name.
- Select Save.
- The exported data reflects the filtering, sorting, and reordering of columns of the Results table only for the As Displayed option.
- Otherwise, the Results table components are reset to their default (sequential) ordering when exported. The application exports the table rows based on the sequential order of the numbers in the No. column.
