The workflow editor is located below the Method Timeline area on the Scan Parameters page. This is where you build an MS instrument method for your experiment. You can create one or more experiments, each with its own timeline. Each experiment is displayed in a workflow tree diagram, where the first node of the workflow tree is the master scan. The master scan is the parent scan in a data-dependent experiment, or it can be the only scan in the experiment. The workflow can also include optional filters, triggers, and alternate precursor sorts.
The experiment elements (known as objects and nodes) are grouped into the following two experiment views:
Standard View: Use this view to build a new experiment workflow by double-clicking or dragging an experiment object into the workflow editor area.
Templates View: Use this view to select a predefined system template that you can modify as needed.
Small Molecule View: Use this view to select a predefined system template for small molecule experiments.
Experiment objects have adjustable parameters that appear in the right-side properties pane.
