To establish control of the MS from the data system computer, use the Thermo Foundation Instrument Configuration window to configure the instrument.

Procedure

From the Windows taskbar, select Start → Thermo Scientific Foundation → Instrument Configuration.
The Thermo Foundation Instrument Configuration window appears.
Add the MS icon to the Configured Devices list.
Highlight the MS icon and select Configure or double-click on the MS icon.
The Instrument Configuration dialog box appears.
Specify the configuration parameters for the MS, as applicable.
Select OK to close the Instrument Configuration window.
Select Done to close the Thermo Foundation Instrument Configuration window.
Restart the data system computer when prompted.
