To create an experiment workflow and instrument method, start by creating an instrument method with one or more experiments (one workflow diagram and timeline per experiment).

You can use the instrument method to do the following:

To specify settings for the MS, syringe pump, and optional divert valve
Create an MS instrument method by selecting an experiment type and setting the various parameters
To specify the mass ranges and fragmentation transitions for MS/MS-type experiments

You can start with a predefined system template, which is a complete workflow that you can modify. To view the system templates, select an appropriate Application Mode, then select the Templates View .
