The experiment workflow contains elements known as objects and nodes. You can either double-click an object or drag it into the workflow area.
The following table describes the workflow object color display status.
Parameter | Description |

Selected workflow objects have a purple border and shadow. | |
Unselected workflow objects have a white border. | |
If a border turns red, one or more of the object parameters are out of the operational range. Hover over the parameter box to view the correct range. |
The following table describes the workflow object menu options for scans, filters, triggers, and alternate precursor sorts.
Parameter | Description |

Cut | (For filters and triggers only) Right-click the object and select Cut. |
Copy | Do one of the following to copy an object:

Paste | Do one of the following to paste an object:
NOTE: For scan objects, the paste function replaces the selected scan. For filter and trigger objects, the paste function adds the object to the workflow. |
Move | (For filters, triggers, and sorts) Drag the object onto an open node. |
Delete | Do one of the following to delete an object:

Restore the default settings | Right-click the object and select Restore Defaults to reset the parameter to the default value. |
Append | (For scans only) Right-click the scan node under which to add the copied scan, and then select Append. |
