The Method Editor application enforces the following master scan rules to prevent illogical instrument methods:

No MS Full scan after an MS master scan
No scans, filters, or decisions after targeted n-level MSⁿ (tMSⁿ)
Multiplexing of only tSIM and tMS²
An MSⁿ level for a master scan of 2, 3, or n
