Procedure

1. In the Tune window, put the instrument in Standby.
2. Close all Xcalibur™ applications and terminate Tune.
3. Download the Orbitrap Astral Series 1.1 Instrument Control Software ISO image from the Flexera™ software distribution site, https://thermo.flexnetoperations.com/:
1. In the Windows Explorer, navigate to “AstralSeries1.1.iso.”
2. Right-click the file and choose Mount in the shortcut menu.
4. Check whether outdated software packages need to be uninstalled prior to installation.
5. To start the OrbitrapAstralFullSetup program, double-click OrbitrapAstralFullSetup.exe from the mounted ISO image.
6. After the completion of the software installation, eject the mounted ISO image.
7. Open Orbitrap Astral Tune. Instrument is initializing and turns to global status Normal (green icon in upper right corner).

8. NOTE

   If the instrument does not respond to the Orbitrap Astral Tune control program on the data system computer (red Error Alerts), please perform a system reset. The reset button is located on the control panel at the bottom right side of the instrument.
