When connected to the Ardia Platform, you can view, revert, and compare experiment versions using the Data Explorer application. You can also access these versioning features directly from the BioPharma Finder application by selecting the Load Results tab on the navigation bar when connected to the Ardia Platform.

View experiment versions

NOTE

You can only view the versions of one experiment at a time. If you select more than one experiment, the View Versions command is unavailable.

Prerequisites

  1. Your role must have the required Ardia Core permission to view experiment versions.
  2. Your role must also have the Can View permission (or a higher permission) for the folder containing the experiment to view experiment versions.

Procedure

  1. Open the BioPharma Finder application in Ardia Platform mode.
  2. On the navigation bar, select the Load Results tab.
  3. The Ardia Platform Data Explorer opens.
  4. Navigate to the folder that contains the experiment versions you want to view and select the folder to view the experiments it contains.
  5. In the table of experiments, do any of the following to open the Versions pane:
  6. Select the experiment’s version number in the Version column of the table.
  7. Select the checkbox for the experiment row and then select View Versions on the command bar.
  8. Right-click the experiment row and then select View Versions on the command bar.
  9. The Versions pane opens at the bottom of the page and displays the version details for the selected experiment.

Revert an experiment to a prior version

Prerequisites

  1. Using the first procedure above, open the Versions pane for the experiment you want to revert.

Procedure

  1. In the Versions pane, select the checkbox for the earlier version of the experiment to which you want to revert.

  3. NOTE

    The Revert command only appears when the checkbox for single earlier version of an experiment is selected

  4. Select the Revert command at the top of the Versions pane.
  5. The current experiment file is restored to the selected version, confirmed by a dialog box.
  6. In the Versions pane, a new version is added with a time/date stamp and is set as the current version.

Compare two versions of an experiment

Prerequisites

  1. Using the first procedure above, open the Versions pane for the experiment for which you want to compare versions.

Procedure

  1. In the Versions pane, select the checkboxes for the two versions of the experiment that you want to compare.

  2. NOTE

    The Compare command only appears in the Versions pane when the checkboxes for two versions of an experiment are selected.
