In the Add or Edit Target m/z area of the Workbook Editor, you can edit several parameters including the charge state and m/z ranges, as well as the number of isotopes for all or selected peptide sequences in the Results table.

After updating the parameters, select Update on the command bar to refresh and update the Results table with the new results.

Parameter

Description

Apply to All Sequences (checkbox)

Specifies that changes to the parameters will be applied to all sequences in the Results table.

Apply to Selected Sequences (checkbox)

Specifies that changes to the parameters will be applied only to the sequences currently selected in the Results table.

Charge State Range

Specifies the range of charge states of the sequences in the Results table.

Charge state refers to the imbalance between the number of protons and the number of electrons in a molecular species (or an ion adduct).

Default values: 2 to 3

Range of values: 1 to 20

m/z Range

Specifies the range of the mass-to-charge ratios of the sequences in the Results table.

Default values: 400 to 1500

Range of values: 10 to 1,000,000

Number of Isotopes

Specifies the number of isotopes to include for each sequence in the Results table, based on the most abundant isotope per oligonucleotide.

Default value: 3

Recommended value: 3 to 5 for a peptide

Range of values: 1 to 10

Additionally, several parameters in the Results table can be individually edited by typing in the appropriate cell:

  • Relative Quantitation Group Number
  • RT (min)
  • RT Start (min)
  • RT Stop (min)
  • Protein Name
