Prerequisites
- You are viewing the Oligonucleotide Workbook and Calculator Editor.
Procedure
- In the Oligonucleotide Calculator and Editor, in the Oligonucleotide Workbook Parameters area, select the Manual Sequence subtab (if necessary).
- Type the name of the new sequence in the Chain Name box.
TIP
Chain names can contain up to 250 alphanumeric characters.
- Type or paste the sequence chain into the sequence box, using either single-base notation (ATCGA) or triplet notation (Ad-pTd-pCd-pGd-pAd).

A FASTA file might contain comment lines that begin with a greater-than sign (>), similar to the chain name line.
When you copy a chain sequence, do not include these additional comment lines. The application interprets comment lines as sequence building blocks.
- Select Apply.
- The Results table updates with the theoretical components for the new sequence added.
- Repeat this process to add additional sequences as needed.
