The following table describes the additional table columns that appear in the Results table for an Intact Mass Analysis experiment with target sequence matching.

Results table columns for a target sequence matching experiment

Column

Description

Component level

Protein Name (for proteins)

Sequence Name (for oligonucleotides)

Displays the name of the target sequence that matches the component within a given tolerance.

If there is no matching sequence, this cell is empty.

If you change the matched sequence to another identification in the Matched Sequence pane, the new name automatically appears in this column.

Modification

Displays the modification of the target sequence that best matches the component within a given tolerance.

The Matched Sequence pane displays all of the other modification matches.

If there is no matching modification, this cell is empty.

If you select another identification in the Matched Sequence pane, the changed modification automatically appears in this column.

Theoretical Mass (Da)

Displays the theoretical mass of the target sequence that matches the component within a given tolerance.

If there is no matching sequence, this cell displays 0.00.

If you change the matched sequence to another identification in the Matched Sequence pane, the changed theoretical mass automatically appears in this cell.

Matched Mass Error (ppm/Da)

Displays the error associated with the best target sequence match for the component.
