In local mode, you can generate and save point-in-time copies of the BioPharma Finder application. The Snapshot feature is available only in the local mode Help menu. In Ardia Platform mode, the application files are stored in a server and accessed from the Ardia Platform data repository.

Create a database Snapshot

Procedure

  1. On the BioPharma Finder Home page, select Help > Snapshot > Create.
  2. The Create a Snapshot dialog box appears.
  3. The application automatically names the Snapshot file as follows: BPF_version_MM_DD_YYYY_HH_mm_ss.DBbpf.
  4. (Optional) Select Browse to rename the Snapshot file, select a different location to save the Snapshot, and then select Save.
  5. You can create and save the Snapshot file to any location where you have write permissions. However, the location must have enough space to save the file. The application displays a message if there is not enough disk space for the file.
  6. Select Create.
  7. The Snapshot file (.DBbpf) is saved in the specified location and can be used for a point-in-time recovery.
