You can browse the entries in the NIST 2023 MSMS libraries by using the mzVault 2.3 application, version 2.3 or later.

Procedure

  1. Open the mzVault application.
  2. Select Open in the Browse toolbar.
  3. Browse to the NIST 2023 MSMS library of interest, select it, and then select Open.
  4. On the Browse page, the unfiltered library opens to its first entry. At 25 records per page, the library of 28,524 entries spans 1,141 pages.
  5. (Optional) Reduce the number of library entries to browse through by creating and applying filters as follows:
  6. Select Filters in the Browse toolbar.
  7. The Select Filters dialog box opens.
  8. Select Filters dialog box with one filter
  9. Create a filter by selecting an option from the Filter Type dropdown list and then entering the associated criterion in the Filter Criterion box.
    You can create and apply up to six filters.
  10. Select the checkboxes to the left of the filters that you want to apply. Then, select Apply.
  11. To undo a filter, clear its checkbox and then select Apply.
  12. In the Records list, select the number of data records that you want to display on a page: 25, 50, 100, 500, 1,000, or All.
  13. To move through the pages, do any one of the following:
  14. Select First Page , Previous , Next , and Last Page to navigate through the pages.
  15. Enter the number of the page in the box and then press ENTER to open a specific page.
  16. To view the spectra for an entry, select the expand icon to the left of the entry.
